It probably says something about my post-colonial mentality how I love it when two powerful people are together to make an awesome pair. Come on. Fischer’s the heir to a dismantled empire. He’s not stupid; you know his father’s money had been invested in his training to become the next Wall Street shark. Saito’s probably a chief of something or other of a huge Japanese corporation, if not the head of it. They’re like Sarkozy and Putin (if, you know, you’re into political slash—but yeah, let’s not even go there) . Or Prince Albert and Queen Victoria. Classic.
